Not a cat person, but I do know some cats and I was amused. They were too. As you may already know it is quite difficult to amuse a cat. Most of the time they smirk and it's hard to tell how humor affects their general expression of disdain for us mere mortals. Sometimes they yowl and you can tell it pains them, a little, to laugh out loud at us. One thing they can be relied upon to give is a polite, albeit aloof, response to our efforts to entertain.

Very entertaining and utterly true. I used to be a cat devotee, but my new wife had a dog. I became a convert when my good ole cat died. Been dog devoted ever since. Nice job on your poem!

This is so very true. I am wondering on which day God created boxes so the cat would play with them and not with all the cat toys God created for said cat. I really enjoyed and had to share this with my husband.

What a great way to start off my day with a laugh. And, with a poem that every line has a degree of truth. LOL. My cat sleeps all day, plays all night, and before retiring to rest, wants to be fed at 5:00 every morning. I've been thinking that maybe I should give this cat to someone I don't like.
