What a lovely story, and how good you were taking your young sister to school everyday. I can imagine her slowing you down, she got out of cherry picking acting that way, lol. Well done, I really enjoyed reading your story. Good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xxx

Thank you. I just edited the story because everyone thought I was her brother. I'm her older sister. The boy in the picture is our brother Danny.

I thought you were, too, looking at that photo you used. :( xx

Oh these memories, how they linger...
Your description of your little sister is familiar, with one exception: What does 'Pokey' mean? (U.K. so forgive my unfamiliarity with the term.)
Sounds like she had the ability to weigh up situations even at such a young age. (I have a sister who was like that when a child, actually still is.)
I like how you weave the the whole family dimension mostly around her.
Warmly,
Juliette

Thank you. Pokey means slow. Like pokey as a turtle. It's not a real common term but we all used to tell my sister she was pokey. Hugs

I have much respect for you, you were a great brother. Your parents did a great job raising you and your sister. You were lucky to have parents that taught you to work for what you wanted and needed. People who work for the things they want appreciate things more. Thank you for the great post.

Thank you. I'm not a brother I'm a sister. Maybe I will have to edit my story and make that clear. The boy in the picture is my younger brother Danny. Hugs

The picture made me think it was a boy and girl. However, you were raised well. And I enjoyed reading your great story.
