Wonderful poem of a spiritual truth. I am guilty of judging Putin. It's interesting the some people while we had our previous president actually thought Putin was good but now he's pure evil. I do think his attack on Ukraine is wrong. But like you say, we should pray for his repentance and for the Russian military to show mercy instead of blindly following his orders. The influence of media is powerful and we all have risen up to judge. But we should not let one country be taken over like that. God knows hearts. It's to Him, we pray!

Thanks Helen, I have cleaned up the notes, and tidied up the poem, I?m going to present this at our church?s prayer meeting this week, I think if we change tack from anger to plead forgiveness, perhaps grace may have a chance, I have never spoken a word in anger about Putin, not because I?m good, but because I felt uncomfortable about joining the chorus..I think God?s voice and heart is in this. Thank you Helen for being so kind in your wonderful comments and generosity. Blessings Roy

Art very graphic and appropriate as it should be Considering what "Jesus Christ endured and experienced due to a sinful, cruel society. You point out the compassion He had, the love in spite of the unfair treatment. The way that you have penned is skillfully and beautifully done. Clearly but uniquely in bedding the philosophy and spiritual message of "Judge not less you be Judge". Your subtle
but powerful biblical reference to the "Power of the tongue!" And how it can influence positively or negatively. You wisely ask "Why not pray for those we judge?" "Giving them a chance for change." I truly embrace the latter concept for by Christ example and his life and ultimate sacrifice change for the whosoever is available. Change is possible. There is so much more that you have share in "Forgive them" so worthy of re-reads that that I feel will always provoke Thoughts. All the best to you. Well done!

The only area I had a problem understanding was in your notes and was unsure whether it is intended or just happened as you where typing and is in your notes (A???A???A)etc. for a reason I am not familiar with. Or is this something I am seeing and you are not? (Technology)??

A very interesting piece, Roy, your author notes were quite
thoughtful. I think of the words that we were given by our Lord, "Come out from amongst them"
A very simple statement, but it's the reason I don't vote, nor do I participate in any political activities...Right now it's difficult to even imagine how any one man could cause the kind of horror, chaos and complete destruction that putin has authorized...It reminds me
of Eve, and the idea that satan could have such influence on her. It was her desire to be more than what God intended, that Adam committed the first sin. I judge no man, but certainly I can compare him to eve...The inability to accept others, because of his demands to rule...I much prefer the positive rather than the negative in writing, although at times its appropriate...But, it's give me a lift in my spirit when I give praise to our loving God...and yet, I do understand there are those that do not believe as I do...I enjoyed reading your rhymed couplet verses, and I can say, I'm in agreement with your premise. Thanks for sharing, your thoughts with us. Blessings,
Warmly,
Victoria

You and I agree on so many levels, I too have no political leanings, I did once, but God changed my mind, I could not join the chorus of dissension, I understand the angry indignation, but I refused to join the chorus, "come out of her" is good, thank you Victoria. Blessings Roy

It's a difficult time for all involved dir4ctly and for the world indirectly, Roy. The situation in the Ukraine isn't unlike many before it. As you say many are making judgments when only God can do that. However, mankind isn't infallible continues on that path. Prayers for all are needed by all. Only God can intervene and end it. I have read and reviewed Judi's excellent poem. Your poem is well written with smooth flow and great imagery. You give readers much to think about.
Respectfully, Jan
