Roy,
Faith is an integral part of a Christian's life, I agree. But I can't agree with one portion of your post - in your author's notes where you say, "I think that faith is such a fascinating subject, to the logical mind it does not make sense..." *smile*
Some people tend to think that they must abandon their common sense when they open the Bible and just take everything on faith. They think the Old Testament is full of charming 'fairy tales' that represent stories of morality, etc.
I don't agree at all. I absolutely believe everything in the Bible. It all makes sense. I believe Jonah was in the belly of the whale. That Jesus and Peter walked on water. All of it. To me, you must use your logical side to understand it. God even addresses that several times. That the wisdom of the world is foolishness - but His wisdom leads to eternal life. About the scoffers, etc. I just don't think you can accept parts and not accept others. You know?
BTW, I forgot to give you a thumb yesterday! Just remembered.
Thanks for always offering something delightfully thought-provoking!

I like your poem on faith. The struggle with faith is one to which most (if not all) of us can relate. Thank you for sharing this poem with the community. Best wishes.

Just beautiful, dear poet, and so encouraging to the brethren. We fight a terrible adversary and we must overcome him with stalwart faith. It is both our offense and defense. Sending you my best for this marvelous poem,

Roy, this is a lovely, heartfelt poem.
I think you meant wrath, instead of wraith - but then, it wouldn't rhyme. However, I just thought you might want to know. (I looked it up)
wraith:
rÄ?th
noun
An apparition of someone that is believed to appear as a portent just before that person's death.
The ghost of a dead person.
Something faint or insubstantial.
