I enjoyed reading you poem. It's a great contest entry, youshould do well. You did a nice job with the prompt. Your writing feels honest and I thank you for sharing.

To lose one's identity is to lose one's way in life. If you do not know who you are or where you are going, you are destined to wind up at a gigantic wall, stalling any and all forward progress. If you are able to recapture your healthy state of mind, you are well on your way to full recovery.

I imagine that most of us look back at our past and can hardly recognize the person we used to be, or perhaps the person we have become. But isn't that just a part of life's adventure? Happiness and regrets, constantly intermingling. This is a lovely and engaging reflective piece. Thanks for sharing.

Anybody that says this is not one of the hottest poems in the contest entry, Is crazy! For, you took me right into a vivid picture with the creativity of a genius! And the last part "I walk away, and never look back", was the punchline that took it over the top. Keep Writing. And don't forget to stop by to talk. Stay Connected

Thank you for your sharing. It is clear that you have gone through a lot of experiences where tough choices and decisions were made. I hope you are better for it.

Hey, crazy thoughts come to all of us. Yes, the person who we were when we were young and the dream that person had, changes. Life is a roller coaster. The high point is having the strength to push through and find the real you in the moment.
Well done.

I love how hopeful this is. It feels very real, the idea of someone losing touch with life and then coming back when he/she realizes it. The theme seems very clear, and the words flow well. I enjoyed this. Great job!
