These are all very interesting. I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill, but some of the origins were a real surprise. Skin of your teeth, coming from the Bible was a real shocker.

I enjoyed your fun, but informative, post, Sandra. It is evident you researched your topics well. The images for each idiom are perfect. The info is presented in an easy to understand way, too. Who knew there was one from the Bible?

Not me. I like the fun jokes, too--esp the 'a way in the manger.'

To tiptoe on broken glass. ( I have used all of the idiom except this one and haven't heard it before. Thank you for sharing them with us. I enjoyed the Christmas jokes they are so silly they caused me to smile. Thank you for sharing.)
