Beautiful! I wasn't raised in a religious home; the basics were this is right, that's wrong, and there is a God. I don't know exactly where my deep faith began...it just was there. And it got me through my childhood... maybe he already was walking at my side. As tragedies deepened, I then began to understand and believe God was with me. Not because anyone told me so but I felt it. I know you will understand what I am trying to say thought most probably won't... I wasn't taught my ministers or Sunday school or even my parents. I was blessed and protected by God. I am so lucky to be his child. He filled that gaping hole for me.

Your works continue to astound me. What an uplifting I felt at the end of the poem. God does shine his light on us every so often; we just have to stay open to receive his blessings.
I must say that I feel that God has given me even more than I've asked for in my lifetime. I knew true love, which to this day keeps me warm and happy. I found true friends for who I would do anything. They give me so much to be thankful for in my life.

It almost sound like a Paul on the road to Tarsus experience. Was it just a feeling? A voice? Out of blue or were you searching? I'd like to know more about this incredible experience.

It was a taste of Heaven, much, much more than anything I?ve had before or since. that was the Pearl of great price Beth, my life changed dramatically and then He introduced Himself, I knew whose voice it was, thank you for these wonderful comments, blessings Roy

First of all great topic and I appreciate and understand the hole in the soul idea. Secondly your rhyme scheme is absolutely fantastic on point! Continuing to have 4 rhymes per stanza and have it flow this well is great. Good work :-)

Our healing inside is probably the most difficult wound we have because it cannot be seen and we appear healthy, but we can often be broken inside and the healing takes much longer than a physical wound, you provided the cure here Roy, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
