'Self-preservation', is an exceptionally well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. It was a privilege to both read and review this talented poet's work. To me this is definitely a six, but unfortunately I've run out of them.

During these crazy times, I can relate to your well constructed poem. We have to cling to ourselves and to God. This last stanza was my favorite:
"As I struggle to make sense of my surroundings,
deep inside, I know there is no one to turn to but myself.
Never have I doubted that I would hold onto hope."

During these crazy times, I can relate to your well constructed poem. We have to cling to ourselves and to God. This last stanza was my favorite:

We all need to hold onto hope these days. I love the picture of the bird with the fish, which shows he knows he has to turn to himself for survival just as you have said. Nicely done.

I found these words interesting, inspiring and creative. I pondered on the the last line of this poem "hope". Yes, hope for me keeps me going on. The artwork is awesome and compliments this poem. Great Poem!
