This sonnet is excellent in every respect--skillfully-written, very moving, and vividly descriptive in its message, its praise of a fine poet whom others see as a mentor. She will be missed. Beautiful poem!

This is a wonderful tribute to Joan. You seem to be able to come up with such appropriate poems and this one is so appropriate and beautifully written. Yes, it's too bad she couldn't see it. Or, maybe she does see it?
Blessings.

Awwwww Ralf... what a nice thought. Maybe she at least knows how much she's loved and missed. That would be nice. Thank you so much for your kind words about the poet and the poem. I truly appreciate you. MM

This is a Beautiful tribute to someone who sounds like a great lady. I'm fairly new to fan story so I didn't know her. So sorry for your loss. Very touching and moving poem.

MissMerri, "Heavenly Star" is a masterwork of brilliance. My warm wishes regarding JoanE's transition. This poem has elegantly cited her beauty, character, and wisdom. Your chosen words are creative in that they evoked a celestial feeling that gave me goosebumps from inspiration and encouragement as a fellow poet.
God has granted JoanE's angels wings.
P.S. You share the quite lovely names of my mother and sister.

Did Joan pass away? Your poem speaks of her in the past tense, I heard she was poorly, but I didn't know that she died. It is such a pity that her life ended, I didn't know her well and your tribute sonnet is sad and well written, love Dolly x

Yes Dolly, she died on Monday, four days ago, but I just learned of it last night. Thank you for reviewing this poem. We will miss her.

This is very beautiful, a touching tribute to this fellow writer although I don't know Joan or her work. I would appreciate if you could let me know which Joan it is, as two are listed. Very lovely poem, thanks for sharing :)

Thank you Boogie. She was known as JoanE but now her account has gone to Standard so we can no longer see her work. That makes me sad too. Thank you for reviewing this poem. Joan and I talked about having lunch some day when I was in Southern Cal, but never got to do it. I never met her personally.

Thank you, I'm sorry I missed reading her work.

What a lovely sonnet, to give her a send off from this world and into the next, I admired her travels, she seen where I'd been, and sparked my desire to travel. This wonderful poem is a fitting tribute to her elegance and writer's ability, beautifully written Adonna, blessings Roy

Miss Merri,
This is such a sweet tribute to Joan (whom I did not know personally). Using stars to represent her arrival in Heaven is magnificent. Losing someone is so difficult; yet if we believe in Heaven, we can know our loved ones and friends are in a much better place than here, and we will each take our turn arriving at the pearly gates.
Excellent poem.
Blessings,
Cindy

Thank you so much Cindy. It is strange, in a way, how much we feel like family here on FanStory, after interacting for a few years. We do get to know a lot about people just from their words, don't we? I appreciated your comments very much. Thanks for reading. MM

Yes, Merri. Fanstory brings me much joy. Have a wonderful weekend.
