Hi You, you are so right my sweet friend...
for those who didn't lose their lives...they lost their minds...and the the ones left behind suffered the ultimate price...my mother was one...

my dad fought in World War 2...he went in on the 2 wave in Normandy beach...there were 4 waves...the first two were the worst...there was a big loss in the first wave...the ones in the second...saw those who died before them...and they watched their family and friends die next to them...

mom said when pop came home...he was different...body in tact...but his mind confused...I'm guessing...bad dreams...memories...he took his life soon after coming home...so she did lose him to the war...

I have such a respect for anyone serving in the serves...Men...Women...and Dog's...
that is why I send money to Daves...it's about the Veteran's...

and then we have sport teams taking a knee to the flag our men and women carried in times of war...I watch No sports now...and wish they all would go make their millions in another country...good luck with that...

Thank you my good friend for your wonderful review and rating, I really appreciate it. I'm so sorry to hear that about your Pop. That old saying, "war is hell" is so true. Not only for the soldiers, but for their whole family. I'm an old Vietnam vet...I never made it to the front lines, but came close and I thank God for that.

Disturbing truth is here in this writing. Sometimes folks just can't find the hope they need to carry on. This poor mom/wife could not find it and in the end-sought the end. Sad.

Stark and sad. I'm sure we have no idea how many women have fought this battle and lost. This is a tragedy that has been repeated in every war and left so many alone and desperate. Thanks for the reminder.
