Graham is a revelation Sandra, he's ideally suited to be an artist in your book, written in love for your delightful grandson Eric. Great research on this project my friend, this is wonderfully written, I can remember saying to someone, "if we've evolved from apes, how come they're still here", but as you point out, it may not be for long. Well done, beautifully written my friend, blessings, Roy

He is, isn't he? I didn't know he was so clever. Now I know, there's no way he'll be allowed to stop doing my illustrations, lol. Thank you so much, Roy, for your really lovely review. It will be a sad day if the gorilla does become extinct. I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading this one for the G letter. Sending you a hug, my friend, and please stay safe and well. :)) Sandra xxx

Bless you Sandra,

So much good information for all ages. I've seen Koko doing her signing, and it seems to be fairly accurate, given her huge hands.
I love the picture at the top. The one your husband drew.

I'm really glad you enjoyed this, Yvonne. I remember seeing Koko years ago, she was an amazing gorilla. Thank you so much for reading my letter G, my friend and your lovely comments. Stay safe and well! :)) Sandra xx

I found your rhyming poem and especially your authors note very interesting about things I didn't know about gorillas>
Sandra do you need to use small 'g' along G?
((Gg is for Gorilla))

Thank you so very much for the six stars, Gert! That is so nice of you.
I'm delighted you liked my Gorilla poem and the facts I'd researched about them.
I've had someone else ask me about the Gg, I saw it done in other ABC books and thought I should do it. But now I think I'll just use the capital G. Thank you for mentioning that, you helped me make my mind up.
Thank you again, my dear friend. Stay safe and well. :)) Sandra xxx

Aw, Sandra, this is so interesting. I must admit that I do know a bit about the gorillas. This most amazing animal. It is tragic that it is now an endangered animal. It has to be preserved at all cost.
Sadly I have no six left for your write. I love this project of yours. A big hug. Ulla xxx

Bless you, Ulla, your review is what I'm after. I want any nits discovered so the teachers don't find any. And I want to know if it's interesting enough for the children. Thank you, my friend. Sending you a big hug. :)) Sandra xx

Another good one Sandy. I watched an interesting video concerning communication with these animals. I found them very interesting. You have done well with this.

G for Gorilla. I love gorillas, always have, and when I was a kid and would go with my parents to the Zoo in Amsterdam, a visit to see the gorillas was an absolute must!. Later I loved to go there with my own children and show them all the animals, but with a long stop at the gorillas. Beautiful picture of the laughing gorilla, Graham did a good job!
Again, apart from the endearing poem for the children, a lot of good information about these spectacular animals.

Thanks for the Gorilla lesson and great poem. Your deft use of poetic forms, alliteration, assonance, rhyme and rhythm are wonderful and the duality of sounds can only help your grandson with his reading. I think he is going to cherish this forever. - Wendy

I don't think I have ever seen a gorilla with such a beatific smile on its face as the one in your husband's picture. I always try to guess what the animal will be when I know the initial. I don't think I have ever been right. I went fo giraffe this time - silly me!

LOL, I could write several books of the different animals, and enjoy all the research. There was so much more I could have written about the gorilla, but I don't think young boys want to know about the birth cycle! Interesting though. I wish human females were made the way the female gorilla is, they can't conceive children for three, possibly four years after having each child. Now isn't that sensible? Thank you for reading letter G, Jim. H comes next. Although most people will guess what it will be, it's a very interesting animal. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Eric will love the story of the grand gorilla. You gleaned the right amount of interesting details to keep his attention and interest. I hope he grows up to be an animal lover.

He's that already. He's always with animals. Thank you so much, Rebecca, for your lovely comments. It's the type of review I need. Have I given the right details, will he like them, you know, it's not always easy to judge. Your review was very encouraging, my friend. Thank you! :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra. I like the poem you included. The reference material you presented is interesting. I knew a lot of it, but not all.
(You should have done Graham for G) HAHAHA His drawing is getting lots of exposure. I recognized what the animal was right away. :-)))
Tell him he is doing a fine job.
Robert

I had to laugh, not only would it be G for Graham, but G for Granddad as well. That would be good. Perhaps I can write one about all the relations, A for Aunty ... B for Brother C for Cousin.... Hmm, I'll have a look at that. Thank you so very much for another of your great reviews, Robert. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one. Take care, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
