Diane, this is exquisite - a bittersweet poem that brought tears to my eyes. I think of my Mum every day and it does not take much to make me weep when I think of her, but this work of yours is just something else. How do we ever get over the death of our mother - or even try. You have a winner of a poem, so beautifully written - and I did not notice it was free verse, so lovingly written. Superb! Awesome Mother's Day Tribute to Your Mom. Especially Soothing is the Last paragraph. My Mom had a failing memory and diabetes. It was very difficult for me to watch her fading Strength and Memory.

though the struggles make the ride rough and tough at times your beautiful poetry brings out the very best in every child for their mum
I love your down to earth realistic but poetic language
the words you have written would be something we all can sit in front of our computers reading slowly and reverently while nodding sometimes crying and saying "yes" "I feel what you mean"
