I have so enjoyed this post and the accompanying clips. I adore Riverdance and have followed for years. We will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day tomorrow with our Irish dinner, table decorations and Celtic music. Such fun... and excellent job Sally.

Love this posting and all that you have shared, Sally! In my first marriage, my last name was Flanagan, and that's a close as I've ever come to being Irish. lol I love watching Riverdance and greatly appreciate your including the clips. xo

Thank you very much for the super review and six shamrocks. I am dearly blessed on this day. I am more Scottish and French, but enjoy Celtic food and dance. I'm so pleased to share this with everyone and glad to cheer. Sending you my best today as always,
Sal xoxo

Well nothing like a personal recipe for cooking your own St. Patrick's meal in angry orchard Ale. And you can drink some of it while it's cooking. By the time it's ready you'll like it whether you cook it right or not. Bill

Thank you so much, dear Bill. Kicking up a locked inside with the pandemic alternative. A first for me. We are still eating the delicious leftovers. Sending you my best and blessings for the week.

Thank you for the recipe. I don't have corned beef on hand so I will have to wait until I can go shopping. I liked the music you provided through You Tube.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too!

Thank you so much, dear Drew. I'm so pleased this cheered you. You can make this strickly vegan by just omitting the corned beef. Cook the carrots, potatoes and cabbage along with a few peppercorns in the hard cider at a low boil for about 25 minutes until fork tender. A low budget marvel from my mother. Blessings for your day and week. Sal xoxo

This may be a huge surprise, but I have never had corned beef and cabbage. I don't know how I became 66 years old without it. If there has not been a run on the ingredients, I'll try it. The few times I go to the store is very early in the morning, before others can get there. Thank you for sharing.

Love it - my mother-in-law turned me on to putting Guiness into my corned beef and cabbage - it works for me. Even though we cancelled our parades this year, there's still something of a festive feeling in the air in Chicago. Your post along with Michael Flatley (he's from this neighborhood by the way) certainly adds to St. Paddy's feel, Thanks!

You are most welcome. I think two reviews came though. A glitch, I suppose. Double good to see you. Have a blessed week.

How timely! Thank you for sharing your recipe! I have used beer in my corned beef and cabbage recipe. I usually do it in the crockpot so I can have it done by dinner if I prepare it in the morning. Have wonderful celebration of this godly man who did so much for Ireland, bringing the gospel to them with the love and forgiveness of the Lord.

He bore the gospel and hated the works of the devil. We need more like him here and everywhere. So glad you could stop by for a celebration. Sending you my best today as always,
