Just as well the poem is short so impatient people can get through it quickly! I like the sentiment portrayed - one of enduring quietude, but the illustration looks like a jangly electric shock emanating from power pylon s to me and therefore not very serene.

LOL! You got that right! ;) :) Patience is that virtue that I must have been out-to-lunch for when they were passing them out at birth...LOL! :) But I'm certainly getting better... I think. ;) ;) ;) So glad you enjoyed this one, my lady! ;)

This pandemic is certainly changing things for everyone. My job finished - I was a tour guide in a historic home, taking cruise ship visitors around, but all the ships are banned from our port for at least the next few months. Who knows, maybe forever. Your teaching will be turned on its head with different requirements. Strange times indeed. xx

Being patient is a virtue that I struggle to have and the older I get the mor impatient I have become! But I admire those who have such patience, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Actually, I think I'm getting better with age.... but then again, it might be skewed with all these impatient students - LOL! ;) Patience is that virtue that I must have been out-to-lunch for when they were passing them out at birth...LOL! :) So glad you enjoyed this one, Dolly! ;)

Dear Yvette,
A beautifully expressed thought. Seems a pity that one cannot extend the writing by "until Eternity" (not that I have any patience at all). Good luck in the comp.

A very well-written six-word poem about the patience of people in our life that keep their cool no matter how upset we get or how much we falter they will patiently direct us in the correct direction.

The fantastic poem, I think you got a winner, for you is not a six-word poem, but a piece of life -serenity's echo a patient spirit. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Hello Yvette. You out wrote my ability to read this time. That is a lofty message and it exceeds some people's ability to think through the Idea.
Patience escapes a lot of people that want a quick answer. After the fast plan fails, maybe they will have the patience to listen for the echo.
Good luck in the contest.

Great saying there, Z - I'm afraid the 'tech age' does not promote patience... and, I'll admit, patience is that virtue that I must have been out-to-lunch for when they were passing them out at birth...LOL! :) But I'm certainly getting better... I think. ;) ;) ;) So glad you enjoyed this one, sir! ;)

Gotcha. I'm getting ready to post my essay on entropy. It's a little different. Newton helped with it.
I don't pray for patience. It's the hardest lesson.

NEVER, EVER pray for patience... learned that lesson a long time ago! ;) ;);) ;)

You got that right!!!

This one is short and sweet, as mandated by the contest. It conveys a thoughtful message in a few well-chosen words. The picture you chose is an excellent complement.

So very poetically said! I am not patient so I admire those who are blessed with that gift! I like that phrase of the last line, "carries serenity's echo." Best wishes in the contest!
