That film has affected many people that way. What a wonderfully written little poem and I love the picture!
Good luck in the contest!

I love the photo you choose to go with your poem, they are a perfect match
You use so few word yet the message is clear. This I is what I call a food for thought poem.
Thank you for sharing.

Oooh, great entry for the 5-7-5 Movie Review contest. You chose a perfect subject and artwork. Very creepy poem but elicits the reader's sympathy, bolstered by your author notes. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

The human mind is a marvellous place, full of dark places, both of hope and hopelessness, unresolved thoughts and resentments, harbouring uncertainty but still searching fo fulfilment. An excellent entry in this contest, good luck, blessings Roy

A very well-written 5-7-5 movie review about the joker who s deep within our minds where our madness reigns until we release it in the open for everyone to see and experience.â?¬

I haven't seen The Joker yet. But your poem describes well what I've heard about the film. I like the line innocence whimpers. It suggests that there's still an innocent being buried deep within him that begs to come out. Good work.

I haven't seen the movie and I was more into Archie and Veronica than I was into Batman, but I found your story most interesting because more people than we realize suffer into their old age still battling abuse they were subjected to as a child. This makes me want to see the movie. Will I "get it" without ever having read a Batman comic book?

Yes! The movie stands alone. You don't need to know about Batman or read the comic books. It's an excellent movie. I highly recommend it.
Thank you for the review.

"The Joker", is is short, succinct and deftly descriptive. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. Good luck with the contest.

The old commercial for black colleges that use to run said this: The mind is a terrible thing to waste! For almost all of us, it is a lifelong challenge to do the right thing for the right reason for the right length of time for the right outcome. Based on what you've written I believe you would concur that mental health is sometimes a precarious shot in the head.
