A very well-written poem and the right for every American to fight for their freedom and protect their land from invaders and the Americans that want to take that away are traitors and should be punished for their treasonous acts.

There is much controversy about the second amendment and the problem is that once the genie is out of the bottle it is hard to get him back into it. American history thwarts the gun control laws because every man has the right to protect himself with a gun. Great poem! emotional poem! I can't figure out why these people want to pass laws for no reason. They probably all live in mansions with security guards all around and don't have to worry that someone breaking into their house to burglarize them of break In to steal their child. If they take away our guns then the only people that will have guns is the bad guys.

Your did a great job with your presentation about protecting the 2nd Amendment, Larry. Your words flow smoothly with good rhymes and a great message. I believe the second amendment is being attacked by many for the wrong reason. It is part of our history and will never go away. If guns are banned from ownership, the criminals will still find a way to get them. It isn't the guns that kill it is the people with the guns. This issue and the NRA has been turned into something that is so confusing. It is easy to say get rid of the guns, Guns have been, and will continue to be, around since their invention. If we allow some to do away with the 2nd amendment, then which one or ones will be next? Thanks for sharing and caring. Jan

Firstly, we don't bear weapons in Australia. Secondly, the amount of killings in America is atrocious. School children shot down etc. You have had guns since the days of the Wild West. If you want to carry guns, everyone should have to go through a strict course on how to use them, no concealed weapons like pistols and the latest killings, automatic rifle spitting out bullets should be banned. Why do you need guns at all, for sport yes.

Thank you for your reply and the 5 stars. I fully understand your words It is a shame that we do have some killings here in America and it may not get any better, but there are reports of good law abiding citizens carrying guns that have saved innocent lives as well. There are many that go through classes to get their conceal carry permit. I am a U.S. Veteran and my main job in the military was working with guns. The Second Amendment is one of those rights that our forefathers long ago gave us, they had very good insight back then and knew we may have to need them someday for enemies foreign and domestic, it could come to that, you never know. And as the saying goes in the U.S. If they ever outlaw guns it will be the outlaws that will have them, none of the good law abiding citizens will. We need them not only for sport, and for hunting but also to defend our homes and families. Thank you so much again for the nice 5 stars. Take care.
