How beautiful! It's the first time I hear about this tradition so I have found your poem and notes very interesting.
The picture is also priceless.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

A very well-written poem about the wedding day memories with out of the ordinary tradition that are memorable and the photos are proof of the fun tradition.

I loved this. So descriptive- that I could imagine you both up on those chairs. Good picture. Nice rhyming. I love the last verse that years later you can both look back and have this fun, wonderful memory.

Such a fun celebratory tradition! Love the photograph. Good rhyming scheme in this poetic work. I could almost hear the music and laughter of those having a great time at this wedding.

Memories about unfamiliar wedding tradition refresh the wedding day ride how the Italian-Catholic boy had a joy ride once, at the wedding reception, both the bride and groom were lifted up on chairs; well said, well done. Thank you for sharing. Keep Writing Inspire Changing -- DR ALCREATOR

This is a great tribute to your wedding day and the fifteen years you have been together, a scary moment in the picture being perched on those chairs in the air! What a great celebration, your words are a wonderful memory, love Dolly x

Yes, my poor boy; he doesn't like heights to begin with OR not being in control of situations, so this was pretty much a Worst Nightmare scenario for him. He was an incredibly good sport! Thanks for this warm and gracious review.

This is excellent and very funny. When I got married and my wife cut the cake tradition says she is to very delicately place a piece in my mouth. The piece of cake started to fall apart, so she just shoved it in my face.
An accident, or was it? Very good poem.
