I love this...a beautiful tribute to your mom. She sounds like she was a very special lady. The rhyme scheme works beautifully, it doesn't feel contrived or stilted.

I do, she is one of the greatest blessings in my life. She just turned 85. I can't bear to think of losing her, but I know the day will come. I'm grateful to God that I have had her so long.

Oh, thats awesome you had her for so many years! My mom died when I was 18, and she taught me about 85 years of stuff, I think! every good gift is from Him!

    Blessings, my new friend!

Aw, thank you for your sweet words. She died almost 40 years ago, so I am used to it, and am so thankful that she packed lots into my 18 years that I used to raise my kids. Gods plan is best, always:)
I appreciate this review, and you!

This is a very nicely worded poem and reads very smoothly. I enjoyed your notes and how you still have such warm memories of your mom. I like to think also that when someone you love dies, a little bit of them remains with you - sort of a footprint on your heart. Thanks for the write. Blessings, Carol

A six it is for this sugar sweet tribute to your mother. My mom had a lovely alto voice, too. I hear her many a day. This is outstanding and so telling of your relationship to your mom. We miss them so, don't we?
All my best,
Sal xo

I thank you for the stars(wow!) and especially the comments! I am so glad you could relate to it! Yes, Moms are truly missed, for sure. I am glad to have a mom worth missing and I can tell you do too! It was hard to put her strengths in a small poem, lol.
    Blessings and hugs,

I love this poem written in honor of your mom. It sounds like you had a great mom because she really loved you and connected with you in a healthy way. You are very blessed because many times that does not happen.

You are right. We had a healthy relationship, which I am sure was made easier by her love for Jesus. She always wanted to do the right thing by Him.. That's why I never want to complain about her dying so young. I had 18 great years with her. I know that not every one gets a mom like that, or a mom at all, sadly. I hope your experience with your mom was not a sad one. Thank you for reviewing this. It means a lot.
    Blessings,

A touching, and well written poem, Tina. Mothers always tug the heartstrings. Just one little nit. Is every two syllables, or three?
If it's a toss up, I'd throw in an apostrophe. Just to be safe.

Best of luck.

Peace, Lee

Thank you, Lee for this review, and the advice. I say every with two syllables, so thank you. I will add an apostrophe.
Yes, moms are great. I miss her most around this time of year, but I was blessed with having her!
    I really appreciate your input.

A very well-written 3-6-9 suite and our mothers are always special to us in our lives. When they pass on, we always remember the good things they've done for us that make us who we are.

Lovely poem with such a loving tribute to your mom. Lovely picture of her and of you in your profile. Her voice and her words are with you and we can thank God together with you for her.

Such a sweet review, thank you! wow...her words are with me because after she died, I found an old tattered notebook that she had written some poetry in. I tucked it away for 30 some years. I just took it out a few months ago when we moved, and a lightbulb went on...so THAT's why I like to write poetry! I do feel her influence:)
Thank you so much for your review and compliment!

How wonderful! Another connection point to your mom - that you're both poets!
reply by the author on 15-Apr-2019
Finding that encouraged me to take myself seriously...but I still have trouble believing I am one. I am a "baby poet", lol. Your comments are appreciated and taken to heart. Thank you, friend!

Thank you Pam for a thoughtful review! I was hoping people could relate this to themselves too! She died when I was a kid, but I was so blessed to have for for awhile! Thank you for your sincerity in your comments and encouragement:)

You are very welcome, Tina. I imagine it was really difficult to lose your mother at a young age, but you have a good outlook.
reply by the author on 15-Apr-2019
It was tough, but God carried me:)
I wish my husband and kids could have met her, but it's okay. You are sweet to send me this note. People in the world have worse problems than having an awesome mom , even if only for 18 years. Thanks again!
    Love,
