I was on FanStory several years ago, off a few years--and recently back; so I
was not familiar with him. There have been some lovely tributes to him
posted lately--yours, lovely too. Line 1: "I knew" should be "I'd known"
(correct tense). The change wouldn't mess up your meter.

Nice rhyming poem tribute. There's a significant gap in Fanstory with his loss. I don't know a lot of people here, but I am aware of names that stand out as more than just writing contributors.
He was the type to just naturally help and want to encourage. I recall him lending me a hand with how to embed links in posts.

I'm peaking my head up out of the weeds, trying to get up in the morning for my writing efforts. I'm really wanting to, so hopefully I'll be able to pull myself out of the writing closet.

Yes, we should. He left a wonderful legacy of support and encouragement, and most of all, graciousness. He was always to kind to me. He'll be greatly missed, and I'm sorry you didn't get to know him better.

He was a very nice man and mentor he loved people and helping them succeed in any way he could.I will miss him so much he may be fine but never forgotten by Fanstorians!

This is such a beautiful tribute to our dear friend, Michael. I will miss him and his kind and generous nature. He was a terrific writer and had no fear of trying something new. I will miss him dearly and wish more could have gotten to know him and his awesome talent.
