I enjoyed your poem, Mystery Author. It has a great beat with lines that flow smoothly with great rhymes, too. I could envision a big smile from you as you wrote this. Great picture, too. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Jan

I really, really enjoyed this because I'm a sun person. I'll even take it with 90 degrees and high humidity. I do not like cold, and gray skies will bring me down.
This was a well written poem, and I could feel your happiness all through it (as long as the sun was shining).
Love your rhyme :)
Perfect artwork.
I wish you the very best in the contest!

A fun little rhymed poem to make us all happy. I am a sun lover too and this winter season has already gone on too long. I'm happy to go to Florida anytime. (smile)
Blessings

A very well-written poem about the things that make the poet happy, the sunshine is the ultimate mood lifter but too much sun can also bring damages to the skin and can make us sick when it is too hot.

Haha ... I couldn't help but laugh, because your sentiments are exactly what I'm feeling right now. I'm really longing to be a snowbird and head south for the winter. "You can keep Canada I'll go to Florida" ... you said it! :)))
This is a fun poem, and I agree with you 100%. The sunshine and warmth do wonders for a person and makes them happy. "and make it snappy" ... my fave line. Best wishes for the contest with this gem of a poem. Well done!
Cheers,
Connie

Be kind?
But of course, Anonymous Poet. I'm always kind..."kind of stoopid", heh-heh.
Your poem is anything but stupid, however.
It's pretty well written.
Since you seem to need the sun in order to feel happiness, perhaps you suffer from what's known as S.A.D., or Seasonal Affect Disorder.
Those are people who need the kind (there's that word again) of vitamin D that only the sun provides in order for their bodies to feel chemically balanced.
Hey, ya' never know--stranger things have happened...

Funny you should mention it, I do suffer from SAD. And i live in NW PA where we dont see the sun from October to March. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work.

My ex-wife suffered from the same thing.
There are lamps you can buy that simulate the rays of the sun in order to get you out of your seasonal funk.
I bought her one and they really seem to work.
All my best, happy
~Dean

This speaks the poet feels happy only on sunny days, as he hates rain and snow, he will feel happy at sun and sunny days ever; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR
