It's great that Tommy has grown up and away from his father. It'll be interesting to find out what Charles did to cause Gladys' death. Also, to hear how Veronica explains her presence, and Mildred's.

Hi Sandra, those 'powers that be' do have a sense of humor...but it could have been worse...she could have been in the shower...think of how that would've looked in the Edwardian era...or any other era as far as that goes...would like to have seen the laugh Mildred would've tried to hold back...but for all she is going though...it might have made her feel better...LOL...I can't believe Gladys son wouldn't know the real reason for his mothers death...maybe not how...but who did it...lets see how Gladys takes to news from Veronica standing in front of her in a pink teddy...yes Gladys...my husband and I were about to settle down for a long Winters night...and bammmm...the powers committee had a different idea for me...Gladys is going to look at her...and ask...where are you from???...and Mildred is going to be standing there...saying...I don't know her...this should be interesting...a great chapter my sweetest friend...ya know I love it...and very well written...as alwayssssss....love you so much....Linda xxoo

LOL! I must remember to write in all the soap bubbles she covers herself in, and hope they stay there in case the powers are reading your reviews!! LOL! Tommy, now there's a mystery ... hmmm. I can't wait to find out how Veronica handles Gladys, the powers had better let me into the secret by tomorrow, lol. I hope there are some comfortable mental homes in 1916 and they haven't been bombed yet. Honestly Linda, you are a scream, so, so funny. he's in the bathtub now...but when he gets out I'll hug him for you...he takes baths with every dinosaur ever created....LOL...then when I take a shower...it takes me 15-20 minutes to take them all out of the tube...LOL...not to say all the letters on the bathtub wall...when we were kids...we had one little rubber ducky...sigh...so glad I could make you smile...makes me smile...next chapter should be very interesting...love you in bunches...my wonderful friend...biggerest hugs...Linda xxoo

I find no errors in your writing. Since you are a time-traveler, how do you keep some societies from decapitating you for your attire? Some would, you know. Hello again, thank you so much for reading this part of my book, I can imagine it might be a bit confusing, but you've jumped in before the 'reason' has been revealed to Veronica and Mildred, just why the 'Powers That Be' have been sent back to this time. It began when they met Gladys in 1905 when the suffragettes were in full flow. Her husband is a brute and eventually killed her. But, Veronica doesn't think that's the reason they are there. She hopes they will learn more now they've been sent to 1916 with the war raging around them. I hope that gives you an idea of how it's going. You're Welcome. I enjoyed reading what you have written. I am a fan of historical fiction; so, even with the sci-fi time travel bent, it also has the historical fiction aspect to it. Yes, added reflection on the suffragette movement of that day does reveal more of what is happening. Thank You! tkbrown

Oh Sandra, this is a predicament. How you keep track of who's dead and who's not is amazing. I find this quite hilarious. Mildred is dead but comes across being very alive. Gladys is dead for sure but Veronica is not. She only appears to be. In fact she's time travelling. You're dong my head in, right enough! I love it. Can't wait for what is next. Actually, the next part has Mildred riding on the back of Drozig when he turns into a dinosaur, and Veronica is flying the spaceship and landing on top of the Zeppelin while it's bombing London! lol!! I loved this chapter! Everyone expected Gladys would be killed off by her husband eventually, so it came as no surprise, but I can't wait to find out how the devious so-and-so actually did it. I'm also glad Edie and her brother found their mother, and Mildred was reunited with them. As for Tommy, he sounds like the kind of son any mother would be proud of!

Yes, indeed, Veronica will have to explain that she is still alive, and she and Mildred time travel to reach their designation. It looks like Gladys was murdered by her brute of a husband, but he did it in a more costed way.
