This is wonderful! Truly you've painted a brilliant portrait here of a living, breathing, interacting woodland. Perfect title for this! Awesome word choice, amazing imagery. Some of my favorites are the whole first and second lines and also the last line of that stanza, "giggling brooklet" and "monlight's soft sarong" --oh my goodness these are just so wonderful! The meter is perfect iambic throughout. I counted two stanzas of 8-8-8-8-12. You, my friend, are getting my final 6-star review for the week!

A Melodic Lullaby
Cheers, Damommy
> What a beautifully harmonious written FLorette piece of poetry.
> I felt like I was down a waterbed or floating on a wave of a rhythmic harmonious raft this oscillating gently and see and that's how this home was read for me.
>It's a Saturday's curse when one writes a beautiful poem like this and people, like me, haven't a six to reward it.
> Thank you for the sharing take care and have a good one especially with all those that love you so dearly.

Thank you, Alex. Your review is worth more than any six to me because you like my poem. Thank you so much.

I paid attention to the harmonious rhythm of your poem much like a lullaby and you succeeded in doing so remarkably well. You gave the homemade musical life. You're very welcome.

This is not generally the sort of thing I would be interested in reading and I will admit that I clicked on your poem with the intention of venting some irritating and being horrendously mean. But I can't--this is really good. Excellent musical sense of language. The last lines of each verse do jar a little with their double length. I do not believe anything would be lost were you to cut them in half. Nice work.

I can't cut those lines in half. They're a requirement of the form. I'm so glad you weren't irritating and horrendously mean. I'm sure you were kidding. lol Thank you for a lovely review.

Wow, what a colorful bit of poetry! You've found the perfect words to draw a peaceful forest scene. As a lover of the forest, it takes me back to my youth and puts me right there.
Favorite lines:
The creatures sing their woodland song,
a giggling brooklet plays along
Well done!

I'm glad it brought you good memories. I love the forest, too, and hope someday to return and build a house there again. Thank you.

When the disciples told some children to be quiet, Jesus said if these should hold their peace, the trees and stones would cry out. It makes me wonder what it would be like if the trees could tell us of all the things they had witnessed.

This florette is filled with such beautiful imagery. The oak's branches rustle and the vixen cries mournfully. The scene sounds so peaceful. The woodland creatures and the pine trees are all in harmony. Especially beautiful last line--"moonlight's soft sarong." Great work with the rhyme as well. Beautiful and relaxing to read. judi
