Your poem matches the picture perfectly. Was it inspired by it or vice versa? I agree with what you say. Sometimes tears make us feel better, they help us get rid of negative emotions.
Rivers of color is a lovely expression.
Good luck in the contest.

From other four-line poems I have read and reviewed, this one seems to be unusally clear in message, while followed the rules for the type. Excellent.

This tells of the healing quality of tears. It is always worse when
you keep things in. You usually feel better after crying.
Interesting artwork.
Good luck and keep writing.

I think this is a very descriptive and well written entry. I too have always felt tears were a good thing and very healing. I find the metaphor rivers of color interesting. Does the color come from the memories? Good luck in the competition.

Good luck with this. Expressive, indeed. The image reminded me of an idea of the sixties--a time of peace and love (projected) yet, how different the contrast in our time today.
There is much to ponder when looking back on own memories.
Something to reflect on.
Well done.
My best wishes.

I have to ask. Which came first? The poem, or the artwork? It matches your words perfectly. I like this. Tears are truly a gift from God. They can often be our mental salvation.

This looks like a good entry for the contest. It fits the format. It also has a good and clear message. I am one who resists crying. I am with you though that, once allowed, years will heal. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

Artasylum, this is an interesting entry for the four line poem. It has depth and reflection in the statement of only 20 syllables. The colorful visual attached also lends itself to the various reasons one may cry. Excelled read and best of luck in the competition. ~DD
