A very well-written story poem about the disco era, which most of us can still remember. Our parents did not always approve what we think are just fun, they could see the bigger picture that we could not see.

That was terrific, lol I loved it. Omg, how I loved Donna summers
back then. What a trip to the past my friend.

I loved your poem. Took me right back to those times as a teenager when one did all the things you describe. Your descriptions of those times are so real. I particularly liked, 'using an iron to press our hair straight' as I have frizzy hair (still) and probably damaged it horribly when ironing it. And it was all about meeting a 'boy'. Well done on this enactment of a time gone by. Susan
