I was SO upset to hear this! Last I heard from her, she fell, and thought she might have a concussion? I didn't know she was sick. I will miss her fairies, her moon, her whimsy. She is finally at rest. A lovely tribute Miss Dawn, blessings...

She didn't know she was sick either. She went to the hospital to be checked for a concussion and they admitted her with pneumonia. We spoke while she was there - twice. The second time the doctor told her she shouldn't be on the phone, to save her strength. It was the last I talked to her...

    Thank you very much.

Dang. That is TOO bad. I've had pneumonia 12 times. It's a killer. Last time was last June. I pray it WAS the last time. So sad.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing someone we love leaves no proper words. I'm glad you can work through your grief with your pen.

This is horrible. I had no idea... Dear sweet Luna. What happened?

Your verse for her is so touching, so poetically fluent, and so are the prayer and video.

How very sad... RIP, dear Jennifer. One day we will all meet.

We hit it off almost immediately - she was my new, lovely friend. She called me and we had a lengthy conversation. Then the next thing I knew I was reading in the forum how she'd had a fall and was going to the hospital to check for concussion. They admitted her, but for pneumonia! I just talked to her about a week ago (there, in hospital). The doctor didn't want her on the phone, taxing her strength the second call. That should have told me...she had been online a bit and we had made arrangements for me to call, but after the second one, I didn't call again, just kept watching for her to come back to FS.

Yelana, this was a women grieving the loss of her son terribly, yet SHE reached out to ME.

She was such a nice person! I'm going to miss her lot. It sounds odd because we didn't know each other very long, but we became instant friends. She made a huge impression on me.

Thank you very much. XX Dawn

That's very tragic. Two deaths so close to each other on FS - Rhyme4u died last week.

I am very sorry you lost a friend. Here, in the world of poetry, people bond faster. You can immediately feel a kin spirit. I am shocked by her sudden death. Has anything been mentioned in the forum? I didn't see about her.

    Grieving with you, love, Yelena

I posted something there, and she mentioned her fall before going to the hospital.

Yes, I would not have imagined I could feel as close to some people here as I do, my friend. Real bonds are formed. There are a great number of folks I would like to meet in person now, you included. xx

BTW, on a different topic altogether, I just thought I'd mention my new mouse gain - it's great, Honey - works like a charm, smooth as butter, so again, thank you for all the trouble you went to. It was extremely sweet of you!

I have the same mouse and it works great - it is saying hello to its twin.

I see that Gypsy Blue Rose has called a haiku challenge in Luna's memory. I read it in Forum Challenges.

Dawn, this is truly a lovely tribute to our FanStory friend, jeni. It's so sad she won't be here, but I imagine she is overcome with joy to be with her Mickey again. This has been a sad week...Charolette and now Jeni.

Thank you so much for posting this tribute for Luna. I only learned from Christy's poem and so came to read yours. This is a very sad day but as you both gently wrote, mother and son are reunited.

I am heart broken. I was unaware that she passed away. I am a devoted fan of hers, loved her fantasy poem. What happened? Was she ill? This is so aweful. Your poem is wonderful.

Dawn I'm only starting to understand that Luna has passed away, and now it is confirmed through your beautiful poem and tribute. What happened and when did it happen? I'm so sorry, and quite shocked. Hugs Ulla:)))

I don't know what happened, still not over a family death in Sweden last Monday when killed coming from hospital treatment from cancer( I hadn't said anything) killed by a damn digging machine on crossing the road. Now this. I am not sure of the details but she so missed Mickey , her son, who died of suicide. She never left a day without his mention. Such a sadness. Oh how dark the time. I really search a day of brightness
Thank you Dawn, you have constructed a beautiful write in her memory. So beautifully written. There is no romance in death, it if I here was ever a chance, I wish them an eternity together.
Bravo, Dawn.
I will need spring for my next write.
Best wishes

It was a heroine overdose that killed Mickey, dear friend, not intentional. Thank you, Roy, and my deepest condolences - how terribly painful for you! I will write more soon (to you, privately), but for now, here's what happened: she took a fall about two weeks ago, and went to the hospital because she thought she might have a concussion. We had been in touch on the phone - she'd called me. We'd made an instant connection here.

The hospital admitted her for pneumonia. I learned when we talked on the phone while she was at the hospital, but her doctor had warned her not to tax her strength, so we only talked twice while she was there. I kept looking for her return to FS, then heard the news from her best friend on FB.

God bless. More soon...again, I am so sorry to hear of your personal losses, Roy.

    Love,
    Dawn

What a simply beautiful tribute to Jeni -
the words soft and soothing -
I feel shaken - I had no idea of her passing...
What happened?

How sad, Dawn. I had no idea she was ill, altho I did know about her losing her beloved son. It's strange how you just connect with some people so easily. It happened to me when I first left school at 17 and started my first job and met a girl in the next office - we clicked and have been friends ever since - sharing so much together.

I'm sorry you've lost a friend when you've just recently found her.

    Blessings,
    Margaret

Thank you, Margaret. No, she didn't even know she was ill until she went to the hospital after her fall.
