This is a great write for the contest. I wish you the best in the contest. My muse seems to start speaking to me at breakfast. and I often lose what I am getting because I don't want to leave breakfast to get cold, as I take the time to write. Patricia

That damsel Nature has teased me out of many meals. Thanks so much for sharing, Patricia, and your kind praise. Rod

A very well-written poem. Our Muse are more aware of our surroundings as we are. We must always be ready to write down the thoughts our Muse reveals to us.

Thanks for sharing, Sandra. Indeed, that damsel Nature does not let me ignore her. Rod

Rhyming quatrains about a muse. That muse who, if she wants a mouse,
sows a thousand mice and puts on the pressure until only one is left, the
strongest and luckiest...best to do as she says! Excellent rhyming quatrains.

I really enjoyed this take on nature as your muse. It's a lovely example of nature personified. Very clever imagery. I smiled thinking of nature sending these sights to keep you up at night.

A fun, interesting poem, but the meter needs some work to it. It doesn't read too smoothly like it should for a good poem.Otherwise very nice. Tony Bronk

This is a very well-penned entry to the My Muse contest. Flow, rhythm and rhyme are all well done. The content reads aloud quite well. Wish you best of luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne

I think your muse is amazing, day and night. Your friends with words and inspired by God's creation. It keeps you away from the dishes and laundry chores.
I walk dogs and pray. We have geese and eagles flying overhead. Then, I see the deer run by. Enjoy your nature walks. God bless. flylikeaneagle

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and all those stars. It appears my muse is also yours. I have never seen an eagle flying in the wild. Rod

Yes I liked this and your muse is enchanting. A great poem about your muse well rhymed and a lovely flow easy to read and I liked the theme of nature as a muse because for many we often draw on the beauty of nature to stir the brain to create a poem or two. loved yourlast stanza and keep writing. Good luck for the writing prompt Cheers Christine

Oh, Chrissy, I am thrilled by your high praise and gift of stars. Indeed my muse is enchanting these days. The garden has never been lovelier and I can't stop writing. Rod
Comment from Ann Dudley Duncan
This is definitely the best poem I've read on any poetry site! I know I am very hard to please, I love to write but not too big on reading it! If this was the kind of material available, I'd probably become a reader instead of a writer! Congratulations, I think you have the contest in the bag!

I really like the line 'whittle images from words'. It is just so perfect and is the outstanding snapshot in this poem. Written with a light-hearted reverence, this is a very pleasant read and should do extremely well in the contest.
