A lovely, creative free verse poem. The words move across the page the way a pianist's hands would move across the keys. The poem is especially beautiful when read with the music playing. I enjoyed reading this Mikey. Best of luck in the contest.

This is a lovely free verse and the music does
enhance the mood while reading it. It is mysterious,
and romantic. It leaves the reader free to interpret
the meaning (I'm still thinking about it and will for
some time, I think. ) You have woven a spell with your words,
and that is the magic of poetry.

I love this free verse, and the music is perfect with it. I especially like the line about closing your eyes tight then opening them. Sometimes to see, we must close our eyes, right? Good luck in the contest, this is lovely.

Hi Mikey,
this is just beautiful. Your poems are becoming ever more romantic and seductive.
You seem to suck the reader into your little bubble. You certainly have a way with words and the music is just entrancing.

You are right, Mikey, it is lovely with the music playing, I read your poem to the music, then sat back with my glass of sherry, and pictured Tarzan coming to pick me up and swing me through the trees, fading off into the sunset... Oh, sorry about that. The poem is really lovely, my friend, and the African wind ... There is Tarzan again, oh dear!! xsx Sandra :) xx

Yes, exactly what I would hope to hear. I'm so pleased you enjoyed. Isn't that the most beautiful music? Not my usual rock n roll. :)) Thanks so much, mikey

Hi mike, what a beautiful free verse which pays tribute the one and special woman. I loved the music that came with it. The sentiment of it all was enough to make me dream. The African wind? Well, we have them here all the time in Spain so the analogue was not hard to catch. A woman of passion. All the best. Ulla:))

This is kind of spell binding. On the second read, it had me holding my breath.
What inspired this well written poem?

Okay so I read this with the music and found it to be distracting- so I read it again without the music and it was majestic. Your words (in my humble opinion) are more powerful on their own. This is a beautifully romantic poem you have penned. well done
