Excellent art work in everyway
Trees are so important for our environment
why cut them down and the beauty the trees
share with us can never be replaced.
Honey tree.
I have no six

So right. We seem to want to destroy all, regardless of the importance to so many living things.
I wonder if we will ever learn.
Best wishes,

Love the haiku - (great satori with the dual "breathtaking" word play)
But the IMAGE!!! That's killer! Do you know if it is real or photoshopped? Can you imagine looking out your kitchen window every day and looking at that pair of lungs image!!!
Good luck in the contest :-)

Disturbing little death haiku on deforestation. Contemporary construction with the under seventeen syllable short-long-short model. Reads well, with good thesis and follow through

Well done to you, this is a really good Haiku and a wonderful response to the writing prompt, with perfect syllable count.
The picture complements it perfectly. The two swathes of forest remind me of two lungs.
Best of luck in the contest.

What a marvelous play with words. It's not always easy for me to leave comments on these short, shorts, but I was struck with how much meaning you put into your well selected words. Hugs, Lou

The picture couldn't be more appropriate.
It is a nightmarish picture of our disregard
for not just the life of the trees but also for
all the animals dwelling there.
An excellent entry. I will be voting. -Bill

Hello author
You didn't need your photo your haiku drew a very clear picture with I see as your satori line-
that won't help you breathe anymore with your very concrete lines

This is a fine haiku. It stands on its own, and the ah-ha moment in your last line is wonderful. I must say the artwork also compliments the work and reflects the cut trees but more than that, it looks like part of the lung. The imagery is excellent. Best of luck in the contest looks like a winner to me.
