Sorry, haven't got a six left, otherwise I would've given you one. This is so powerful and beautifully constructed. Love the alliterations going throughout.
A harrowing journey well described with a peaceful ending.
Very well done.
All the best in the contest. This should do very well.:)

Hi Pierre, this is an excellent entry for this particular competition, a veritable cornucopia of mixed styles and wonderful description with brilliant imagery, I wish you the best of luck in the contest my friend.

You certainly take us on a detailed "journey"--I admired the descriptive subheadings. Your addition of rhyme and alliteration adds to the intensity of the imagery in your story. The positive conclusion after the traumatic experience of the death of one's child is uplifting. Best wishes in this unusual contest, which you managed quite well. I was pleased I had the six your post richly deserves. Cheers- Joan

Pierre Poote this is a solid write. At first I thought the length would put me off but I was drawn by the first line. This poem had my attention throughout the read. It is cleverly written and very descriptive. The presentation is very neat and attractive. It has a strong message of hope and faith. Well done for this enjoyable poem and thank you for sharing.

Excellent. I thought this poem was absolutely awesome. You take the reader through the depths of despair and back again. Marvelous writing.
