A very interesting story about writing and what it means in today's world. It is true that we are in an age when readers tend to look for visual media and it is a challenging market. Good job!

This is a great entry into the contest. You have focused on the way art appreciation has changed. Technology and progress tends to change how art is viewed. Canvasses can be mass produced looking like original art. The internet with information at the touch of a button is also to blame for the lack of interest in Libraries and spending time reading. this is an excellent write, mystery writer, you did an excellent job writing this essay about the fate of the manuscript being in the hands of someone that can advertise or reject it based on their thoughts of marketability. I enjoyed reading it. good luck in the contest

Well that was certainly differnt. Most entries are in story mode but an about-face is well deserved. Nicely done. I could feel the emotion and anxiety from your writing.
