This post is very well written in easy to read and understand words. Springtime, the start of a new year, or, it should be. I like that thought. This post makes a person like me think about the wood working things I'd loved to have worked on. But alas, it will be next year before I can get to it. It is a thought provoking post that sways in the world of truth. Your descriptions are excellent, my friend. I enjoyed reading this great little post. Best wishes, my friend.

Always with respect,

Don't take this wrong, Elgie, since I appreciate your comments and your kind words, but did you rate this as you intended? If you did, I accept it humbly. The second part of this will be meatier than this. I'd like to have combined them, but it would be too long for most readers here. Thank you, my friend.

My friend, I checked and sure enough, I must have hit the four instead of the five star. I think I have corrected it. If not, please let me know and I'll figure it out somehow. It is so embarrassing when I do that. This isn't the first time. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, my friend.

Interesting philosophizing and excellent writing as ever, but leaves one thinking he just read a preamble. Kind of low calorie. Not complaining, just remarking. Still impressed by your word skills.

Ha ha! Low calorie, indeed! Do you know how hard it is to slip out of a Chrysalis? This is the bread. The meat comes with part II.

Hi, Jay...

_ No Spring! Ha-choo! Ha-choo! Where's my damn Benedryl?!! (*<*)
_ Indeed, put your people on all those multitude of college games---especially the 'bowl games.' Jeesh! Overload.
_ Bring on more 'Scandal!' Yessss!
_ Great chapter, my friend.
_ Pardon me, I just found my Benedryl, so I need to go partake.

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'... Jax (*:*)

I enjoyed reading this, jay, I enjoy reading everything you write, but I was hoping for the next part of Scampers to see if he's going to make it or not....

Thanks, my friend. The next chapter of that story will be as soon as I earn enough pumps and $$ to promote it.

Hi Jay,

A rather short piece this time around, but then there is another part to come. Just the two? A fine introduction for what I assume will be a lengthier follow-up.

I do think springtime has a profound effect on us. The balance in nature with the new awakenings plays an important role, especially for those sensitive to its nuances. The change in the essence around us, the differences in light, smell and sounds triggers something deep within us.

I have a couple of friends with SAD (season affective disorder) and their change is incredibly profound.

I look forward to part II.

All the best
G

THank you, G. Yes, part two will indeed be meatier. I wanted to combine the two, but it would have been much too long for the average FanStorian. I think you'll find some things to take away from the next one, though.

In today's world, one can't have much fun as a butterfly. A rabbit would be better for your imagination. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Thanks, Charlie. This is only an introduction to a meatier part II, but together it would have been much too long.

An intriguing beginning to a story. I do not know where you are going with this, but I am hooked, and will come along for the ride. I enjoyed most your musing on spring and metamorphoses. This line stood out for me, "I'd like to take it a step further and suggest the first day of spring should be the true New Year's Day."

I see a stir, a fermentation of ideas bubbling up to the surface of your imagination and onto the screen. I am anxious to see the story that breaks form this chrysalis. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Andre. This is only an introduction to a meatier part II, but together it would have been much too long for the average FanStorian. You did see this is a part of my critting series, didn't you, not a story?

Saw the critting part, but you use classic storytelling techniques to hook me. I look forward to your meatier Part II.
