Excellent Poem! The reader found the poem reminding her of the childhood song "Ten little Indians". The author's words
are delightful, creative and meaningful. The author's notes are strong and convey the strong admiration with love we have for Brooke. Thank you.....

This is such a lovely poem, Dean. You combine Brooke's love of dandelions and her love of countdown poetry to convey how you miss her and hope that she will return to us again. I love the arrangement of your poem with the picture of the dandelions spread throughout. I'm sure Brooke will love this.
My best to you.

Absolutely stunning, Dean! Brooke will LOVE this. She adores the Ten Count poems and writes them so well, and, of course, loves dandelions as well. I love the poem itself for its simplicity and flow. But how you have the dandelion going down the page is nothing short of genius. Excellent piece of work and presentation. Sue

Dean;
-Just like Brooke would also have written you wrote a child's poem of counting downwards.
-Good use of enjambment Dean.
-Rhyming was superb and each rhyming word with contingent to the meaning and concept of each line therefore making the rhythm flow smoothly.
-Rhythmic meter is iambic with lines of five to nine syllables each. The cadence, timing and tempo which all were helpful in making the reading clear, fluid and easy.
-The imagery was spectacular and also very expressive and indeed vividly descriptive throughout the writing: "To tufted spores now tossed upon a lavish lawn(alliteration), one still wished to travel more, the other stayed to spawn."
_Thank you for sharing and posting this Dean and may the good Lord be with you always my friend.

You also have such amazing animations and graphics in your works. You are a master at your craft. I have such difficulty with the sites editor, i don't know how you do it. Your poem is creative and well crafted. Brooke should love this combination of the dandelion with a counting poem,

You've found a new calling, my friend, from now on everyone will expect you to count to ten.
Each number is it's own poetic seed, ten poems blowing in the wind. From each another poem will bloom and from them ten more until you've filled the land with poetry and what could make Brooke smile more, than to see beautiful poetry blooming in every nook and cranny in this and every beautiful land.
A poem aglow.

Thank you, rspoet. Your review responses are just as lovely as your poetry, and I sincerely appreciate the glowing compliments and very generous six star rating. I realize it's not my usual eerie, spooky fare, but it is from the heart, and that's where some of our best writing comes from.
Thanks again for reviewing this. I sincerely appreciate it. ~Dean

A beautiful tribute to Brooke and a measure of why you are success in writing from the heart Dean. She has always been a friend to me and I soon sensed that something was wrong. She lost her sister and that may have brought on the aggressive MS attack.

Thanks so much, Alan. I'm very pleased you think so highly of this poem, my friend.
I worked diligently on it for three days with very little sleep to try and get as close to Brooke's amazing style as I could. I know how much she cherishes her dandelions.
While I realize I'm nowhere close, my wish is that it will warm Brooke's heart, and extend to her the powers of healing through friendship, love and our collective prayers for a full recovery.
Thanks very much for your exemplary comments and exceptional six star rating, Alan.
I sincerely appreciate it as always.

Thanks so much, Patricia. Definitely not my normal, creepy fare, right? Well, I owed to Brooke to at least try to write something uplifting for her, especially after all she's dine for me, and so many others here. I very much appreciate your time, and your thoughtful comments. I pray she'll like it.

Beautiful tribute to our sister fanstorian, Dean. She is the queen of counting poems and you have done her proud with a counting poem about her favorite dandelions.
As much as i love this site as a place to share writing, I am even more touched by the relationships formed through the process.
Hugs!
Karen
