No wonder his blood pressure was rising! A grim twist on the science of cryogenics in this short vignette about Mr. Watson becoming a human Popsicle and experiencing it awake and alert. Brrrr.

He was awake and had to endure it all. The sense of this piece is like the man who was buried when he as alive. The plea is useless, the death is certain, Dean., Well done.

How gruesome. I don't want to live forever, at least not here on earth!! I'm glad this wasn't any longer, or my blood pressure may have risen. It is nicely written, though. :>D Miss Sally

Notes as good as the tale. You never let up. This is everyone's nightmare: being awake during surgery. Even worse if you're freezing to death. :-)

Yeah, I'm being cremated, yet even that has its horrific implications. Oh death...why is thy sting?
Thanks for the review, Shari. Much obliged. :)

There is a waiting time between death and cremation to make sure the soul has had time to leave the body. I think it's 48 hours.

Well, I'm going Bio-urn, where they mix your ashes with soil and the seed from your favorite tree. I'm not sure how the handle it just yet. Still getting information filtering in...

I love the idea!

I wonder if Walt Disney is screaming his brains out at this very moment, ha, ha. Good story, despite the length. The only idea of being frozen alive and not being able to communicate your condition is really terrifying. Good stuff there, Dean.

Hi Dean,
I'd say Dr. Pascow's project could use a little more research, lol, but you've got to feel for the guy who has a long time to reflect on things.
Nice job building suspense in the short amount of space used. Another good chapter, my friend.
"See" ya' in the next one!

Hah, yeah...maybe just a little, Bill. Thanks for reviewing and supporting our book. It's good to know there are other horror aficionados out there. I was beginning to feel like a man on an island, heh-heh.

OMG - A frozen nightmare. One can really get the shivers thinking about being in a state of perma-frost for years, or even centuries and be fully awake the whole time. I wonder if he will feel hungry?
Another little gem, Dean.

My guess is that he would slowly freeze to death and die, Rose. Especially if the procedure was unsuccessful. Let's just say neither of us ever wants the opportunity to find out, heh-heh.
Thanks very much for your continued support of these twisted tiny terror tales. I truly appreciate it, and you! :)

Oh dear, It is not easy to be a guinea pig. Poor him. Well done, I enjoyed reading, although it is so cruel. That's the whole point of course, black humour and all. Ulla

Yeah, kinda like those old Tales From the Crypt stories in the old EC comic books, way back in the day, Ulla. They were kind of corny, often funny, but always managed to scare the daylights outta me too.
Thanks for much for your continued support of all the authors in this book. I think I speak for all of them when I say, I really appreciate it...and YOU...

Well, I hope none of us ever gets the opportunity to find out, Margaret, heh-heh. Personally, I'm being cremated, so-o-o... Of course, that has some rather gruesome possibilities as well.
Wait...
I fell a story coming on...
Thanks for reading!
~Dean :)

Me too - cremation is the best choice - now don't tell me any gruesome possibilities about that, please. It at least will be warmer than being frozen under the earth with the worms.

Lets hope... ;)
