I'll drink to that. And although, I don't know the difference between a sonnet and sorbet, the sweet melding of melodious words as your poem about, can make me repeat. Yes, I'll have another glass, please, and thank you. Great job. :-)

good use of rhyme in the traditional English sonnet format
good use of steady iambic meter
a most effective simile comparing crafting a sonnet to creating the finest wine
and you extend the imagery effectively in later stanzas
good alliteration in sip be savored
effective turn in the third quatrain

WOW. I don't know who you are but you are to be sought after for your knowledge and skill. Your taking the wine and applying it to the sonnet is ingenious on multiple layers. I want to extol the virtues of your verse but I am at awe and am finding it difficult to put my praise into words. I know we are supposed to provide positive criticism so here goes my attempt. The background color could have been the color of your wine. YOU are obviously one of the top 10 Poets on this site whether your ranking shows it or not!

Hey, Dr Nad, hello. Thank you for the fantastic review and the big six offer, friend. I tried the background with many different colors and the font as well. But this is the way, to me, it gives the best presentation. I'll let you in on a secret. If you like someone's work, on the right of the page their piece is on, there's a box you can use to bookmark the piece. I think once you save it it tells you who the author is. Or just wait until the voting is over for the contest and you can look them up that way. If you like this one I'm sure you'll like a lot of my stuff. I really appreciate the great review, Dr N.
