Yes. Yes, to every word. If six stars could ease her way, on any road that is before her, I would give this poem all I had.
I do not know how long her road is or how rocky. It seems long indeed.

True depth of emotion and excellent message. Maureen deserves peace and rest. Whatever the outcome, she has fought a wonderful battle full of love and grace. Her spirit has touched many and will do so for a long time.

w.j.debi, once again a huge huge thank you from the deepest chambers of my heart. I am humbled. I still have so many reviews to answer but my time is so limited, it is often difficult. I am afraid I might appear ungrateful and rude.. again thank you sweet friend.. Jimi

A loving tribute to a loved one in pain, a brave soul who refuses to give up. She has contributed much of herself. A wonderful choice of words, smooth flowing like a river. One of the very best poems I have read.

solid use of abcb rhyme
you and I are on the same wave length - I think she's been a Celtic Warrior long enough and needs permission to stay asleep in peace
strong imagery in the peaks of pain stanza
whichever you choose - yes, this is my prayer for her too
this woman needs not prove one more thing about her courage to anyone, certainly not me. Brooke

Brooke, thank you for putting me at ease. I was not sure how this would be received. Our sweet Maureen must be exhausted. I liken her experience to a person gripping with all their might to the rough brick ledge of a tall building to keep from falling. My heart goes out to her and her family.
I have heard of instances where once the stricken are given permission to go and assured things will be alright, then they let go.
Thank you sweet friend.. Jimi

I was ranting about this to my daughter - not her family, but people who read their updates and then tell her, stay strong, keep fighting, we know you can beat this. I swear some of them expect her to be home and posting poems by next week.

And may we leave such footsteps that other writers will whisper our name, remember our dreams and write with such eloquence as you did about Maureen.
Your tribute speaks of authentic emotions, not a competition of rhyme or meter, and I felt the sting of regret never having known the woman as you did.

What a lovely poem and wonderful tribute to your friend Maureen. It comes across personal and very heartfelt. I like several of your verses and lines like, "You've infused each new day with purest gold Weaved a silver lining in the darkest clouds of woe" are simply exquisite. I'm sorry for your loss. Your poem is very moving.

A beautiful tribute to a friend's courageous fight of this ravaging beast we call cancer. Obviously she is beloved and admired for her gracious and loving spirit. I was completely swept up in this lovely song. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of Maureen with all of us.
