Absolutely fantastic! I loved it all! What a great story you wove. I didn't realize that it was a contest and each word was one syllable. You did a great job! I could see an entire novel out of this.

Well, there you go. You sometimes get what you fear if you act on impulse. The fearful mobs created the beast, and now they will pay for their foolish actions. Goooood story!

You pulled pulled me right in! Very entertaining tale. Solid. Succinct. Punchy. This is lean, muscular, and would go the distance if you chose to make it a novel, single or more syllables! THIS is horror!
Bravo!

I suspected, after a bit, this is where you were headed with this piece. Why is it we tend to want to destroy that which we do not understand? If there really is life on another planet - and any of them were to land on earth - they would likely be put to death prior to anyone knowing the real reason they came - more the pity.
good luck in the contest
this is tougher to do than most would believe
love,
jan

bounce off of the walls - bounce off the walls
vivid, mood-creating detail of setting
I live off blood, you live off hate - love that line excellent character development and dialogue
strong verbs in the action scenes
an intensely emotional and dramatic story
and I found only one syllable words - quite a challenge :-) Brooke

This is one heck of a single syllable story. I found it interesting sand filled with excitement. This one is certainly going to be exceptional hard to heat. Best of luck,

Thanks. I really appreciate it.

Really nice job! I particularly liked how you got around the word "vampire".
The only thing that tripped up the flow was the word "ate". How about the word "fed" instead?
Super story, well told. Good luck!

This is terrific for the contest. Great story and done, seemingly without any problems, with such a difficult limitation. I'd love to see a longer version of this - it has piqued my interest. AT=/
