I love it! funnily enough it could be said as a rap song given the right rapper and melody behind it could be a hit I reckon
just my interpretation

sorry no six left for this entry into the "GEt Blitzed" contest. you have followed all the rules of the prompt, and written a sad tale of war.

if wars did not exist we would enjoy eternal peace a utopia an endto all human suffering

good luck in the contest. Mary

This is yet another macabre poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. I love the images and the words create their own imagery to add to the eerie feeling. Well done and good luck with the contest.

Dean;
This is one format I did not want to try but it seems you did an excellent job in doing so. You would illicitly expressed and described many of the factors of people and decaying and a horrible aspects of it all.
In this particular format you are very imaginative and superbly inventive and ingeniously creative.
Good luck in this contest for this is an excellent entry and thank you so much for sharing and posting this for everyone to read and may the Lord be with you always.

Format is way over my head. Content: considering all that's going on in the world today, I was thinking and hoping that you would point out war. Then again, I guess war has been around since the birth of mankind.

The poem did read as a blitz. It's not my favorite type of poem, but that's just me. You seemed to have done well with it.

Also, this caught my eye: dust bowl breath. I once wrote a story about the dust bowl, and at that time, 90% of reviewers had no idea what I was talking about. Just thought it was interesting.

Thanks, DB, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me about the poem. The format is much harder to write in than it looks at first glance. And the poem was indeed about the atrocities mankind perpetrates against his own species in times of war.

As far as the dust bowl, has no one read the Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck? Have mercy...

Thanks again for the very positive review, my friend. I sincerely appreciate it.

people die daily
people start wars

and cause more deaths..on and on in an endless cyle.

people die every day from natural cuases too... and... as you say...

EVERYONE DIES ALONE. I think that's the scariest part.

Wow, what a powerful piece.
You show all the atrocity of war in a great blitz poem. I read the contest rules and am baffled by how you kept them all straight. I would have bungled for sure.
This piece was quick and brutal. I love how you put the word red in the color red.
This was a great poem that showed all the horror, fear and pain war can create.
Good luck in the contest. I'll be rootin' for ya.
