HAHAHAHAHA! OMG, if this is a blind entry contest, what's the point? I'd recognize this style anywhere (and that says a LOT about the author)!

What a GREAT little story! If I am wrong about who the writer is, my apologies, but then again, if it isn't him, you've been complimented (because he is so talented)!

Best of luck with this small nightmare...:)

Hah, well, now if all the voters of the contest entries would just
agree with you, I'd be in hog heaven right now, Bwa-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaaaa!

Thanks, Dawn, I really appreciate the fun, encouraging review!

LOL - well, you're most welcome, but if it ISN'T Dean, please tell me who it is after the contest, would you? :)

Thanks a million, a.w.! You nailed the meaning of the story to a tee, my friend. Many teens are so preoccupied and curious about death, especially today. Poor Jenny, well...she get a little too curious.

    Thanks again, 'T'!

Non other than Mr. Reaper himself, Phyllis. The Kiss of Death, you might even say, LOL...

Thanks for the review, my friend. It's always a pleasure to read your unique takes on my humble offerings.

Speaks to the curiosity many kids have with death, and for those who sometimes take it a bit too far.

I thought it was a good story. I don't think I have any room to criticize, but was curious why you put so many S's on the end of your yes? Was it a hiss?

Thanks, Twonunsandachimp (great user's name by the way).

Yeah, sort of like a hissing sigh, in anticipation. That's all it meant.

    I appreciate the review.

This story was very well done! I liked the quick description of the two girls, especially the Goth, and the swift dialog between them. The challenge & curiosity and then the ironic ending. My kind of horror story.

Thanks, Rod, I just wish more of the voters in the contest felt the same way you do. I'm down by a single vote with just hours to spare.

OOOH! Nasty Grimm! Imagine, the girl actually paid for her demise, and a complete story in just a few words.
Good luck.

Yeah, thanks, Jean. I'm going to need all of the luck I can get. I'm losing in the contest, down by a single vote.

    I appreciate your review, however.

Well, that certainly is a different take on both
the prompt and the carnival kissing booth. I applaud your creativity. This line threw, though:

Avidly into Goth, Jenny was an anomaly for someone so young.

It seems to beg some explanation.

Best of luck at the polls.

Peace, Lee

This is a very interesting chpater. It's short and crisp and I like the twist in the end. Goodluck for the contest. Enjoyed reading it.

Thanks, Hareem. Actually, it's a 100 word dash for a flash fiction contest. See the description for more details, but put quite simply, it had to be written as a stand alone story, complete, in 100 words or less.

This was a great way to take one hundred words and spin them into quite a surprising story. It started out so innocently that the surprise was complete.
