I just sang this to "Johnny" and it works quite well!
lost it's rudder - drop the apostrophe
love the alliteration, humor and imagery in bursting like old Bessie's udder
and alliteration in better/bureaucrats/boot
excellent use of satire in making a serious political point
Brooke :-)

This is a very topical poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. These politicians should put party politics aside and work for the good of the nation. This does not look good on the world stage.

Yeah I need to re-do the Midi again timing is a bit rough. I figure the tune is probably a National Treasure, apparently used during the Civil War in America and then later in the WW's. Not sure about Copyright. My arrangement anyway hehe. Thanks for the great review. I think it is relevant on either side of the Pacific or wherever.

Ah, how hard it must be to live in one of those countries where you can't publically poke fun at your political 'leaders'!
I enjoyed the sense of fun and the relevance to the current stalemate - not that I understand it from this distance.
Favourite line, the one about Old Bessie's udder....

Hi Steve where are you? I feel like it is relevant to all Beauraucracies meself. Thanks for the review hope you got there after the music went on. I am on the East Coast of Australia.
-
That's an awful big coast. I am recently returned to NZ after 10 years in Cairns...
yes, our politicians can be much the same, although I did think Aussie ones were somehow more 'political' than kiwi ones.
