LOL I don't know why this happens to you girl. Me second cup of coffee usually brings about tons of energy. LOL but you, you gotta have 8 socks that hang out looking for a mate. Are the socks actually looking or is it mostly you? LOL

Oh, Sharyn - Your poem is sooo cute. I did read it out loud and got a big laugh from it especially the part at the very end. You sure come up with some great stuff from that talented head of yours. Kat

AAH, Bless them! All alone and feeling unloved! Would you like to tell them I have some singles here, looking for a date!! LOL, a poem about SOCKS! I think a detective is needed here, obviously a case for the 'sock nappers!' Brilliant fun, Sharyn, fantastic read! xsx Sandra

the
perfect
mate"
Very good, and you talk of my sense of humour-- Luv the cuppa-he certainly made an impression with that idea - I think it will strike a chord with anyone who has read Billy even tea drinkers (Billy Tea :) )
Billy would be proud of you.
It will be ihteresting what reviews you get because this is great even if reviewers don't relate to Billy's influence

Ha ha. This tickled me because I believe it is one big conspiracy by companies to deliberately make it impossible to match crew socks. They seem only slightly different, until you struggle to match them. I really appreciate your unique way of formatting your verse and the sporadic rhyme schemes. You are consistently different in your approach.

Now you're just showing off... Oh how brilliant!... especially because this poem is chock full of subtle (and not so subtle) messages. You've distracted me with a lovely scene... morning coffee... hubby and son dutifully out the door... wifey now alone with caffeine, thoughts and mismatched socks... Oh My God! Their numbers are growing... more and more mismatched... searching, seeking, looking for that perfect match... poor babies... lonely but not alone babies... and you, my dear Sharyn... as you sip your Java... wanting to re-match, perfect match, chance match... but natch... they're still mis-matched... but hopeful... when someone else (whom we won't mention)... having been mis-matched... has chosen dis-matched... and a friendship with a lovely poet who turns out masterpieces such as this...
