This is a delightful story full of simplicities of an more basic and uncluttered life. The story and conversation flow nicely and allow the reader to "be there". I had 2 boys and don't I know about rivalry! I will read more! Thanks.

I love your story. I'm the oldest of 10...6 boys, 4 girls, so Rabbit's trouble with his brother rings true. One of my favorite books is, "A Painted House" by John Grisham. Your story has the same genuine flavor. Looking forward to more chapters.

Thanks for reading and your feedback.

The story was quite easy to follow, not having to reference other chapters to know what was happening. I think that is a definite plus. I like your characters and, although John is very much a part of the story, I gravitate more to Rabbit. Perhaps because of his name.

Thanks for reading Tony. If you can circle back to ch 1, you can see where the nickname came from. Bill

No doubt about it - your mother was indeed a saint, Bill. You boys were a trial when you were little. Hope it got better as you grew. I love the "baby dinosaur" bit. So "little boy". :) Nancy
