Great poem telling how important it is not to stay in a dark and cry, but go on and live, give another chance to someone worth it. Your poem has a great flow and rhythm. Good luck in the contest! Tina

Really enjoyed reading your free verse poem on taking a chance on love. Your heartbreaking first experience speaks to many who have also been hurt by past lovers. But, we can learn from every experience weather it be good or bad. I am sure you took the lessons learned and applied them to your present relationship. Sounds as if you chose wisely second time around. So glad you took another chance to love and live.

Very nice free verse...the message is probably true for many and that is why so many can identify with this poem. We all have had a heartbreak or two, but hopefully we have found true happiness somewhere in life.

Too many times beautiful roses wither and die from neglect and mistreatment. But like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, your rose has blossomed once more and even more stunning and beautiful than the past. I love the artwork showing the approach to the light at the end of the tunnel.
