Phillippa, I laughed my butt off with this poem. My grandkids just lifted. And I just went through the same thing. He is 5, she is 9.He takes everything out and never plays with it. If he takes a pair of pants out of the drawer. Everything gets thrown on the ground, or the drawer is a mess. And she wears 10 outfits in 10 minutes and all stay on the floor. This is great. Love the wording, and your colors are perfect. And the picture is wonderful. What a precious angel she is. Linda xxoo

Wow Linda, thanks so much for the great review...sounds like you could write a poem too my friend. I can just see my little miss down the track doing the 10 bits of apparel in 10 minutes.
Its crazy what she is doing at the moment. Goes from one room to another. As of tomorrow, I am shutting a lot more doors. This write has forced me to look at things more constructively and maybe look at curbing her route TO the toys to start with. Its just hard as we have doors open to air the house and get a cross breeze so little miss is into everything. Thats why I am posting sweet FA at the mo. It sucks but family comes first.
Anyways thanks so much for the sixer and beaut review. I had to laugh at the personal bit you shared. Truly.
Thanks for making my day.
Cheers Phillippa xoxo

Closet, very well written and delightful poem that shows the universal struggles of all young moms trying to keep a relatively tidy home. The meter and rhyme is excellent. Best wishes in the contest. Blessings, Hector

I love it when you write about your kids, and you've mentioned before, both in your poetry and your messages to me, the struggles you sometimes have when you and Tahlia butt heads. She looks like she is winning the battle here, by the wide smile on her face and by the very words of your very fine poem. My next door neighbor has a little boy about her age, and their house is a total disaster, toys everywhere! I'm sure she'd appreciate this poem. So good to see you posting something, Phillippa. I miss your postings. Connie

What a lovely review, thanks Connie. This is part of the reason I have not been here of late. Been feeling guilty about a messy house but Tahz is NOT making things easy for me.
By the time I have picked up after her all day I am too clagged out to move. I have nearly fallen asleep at computer and also off the chair, thats when I know its time to go to bed. Posts and reviews are suffering which sux but I gotta give family priority. I know people understand but I wish I could be here more lately. I miss you but I will be back to catch up on some more of your posts. Lubsya Connie. Hugs, Phillippa xoxoxo

i don't usually give a sixer for a contest entry BUT this is a poem after my own heart. i have such a daughter. she is eight going on 16. she has the same relentlessness. she doesn't even realize how much. made me smile and giggle = smiggle.
love,
barabra
good luck~

Haha...being a mother is wonderful but watching her and the antics is precious...despite how frustrated I get with the crap she continually drags all over the place.
Thanks for your support.

ahhhh, ain't they just adorable
when they're being so hellful!
very cleverly composed, Phillippa.
it flowed delightfully off the tongue
and netted the rascal's devoutness
to clutter, comically and completely.
Bravo! and muchly good luck for the contest!
warmly, xxx, eph.
