Thank you for continuing to share your heart-felt story. It is really very painful to read. I am so happy that you are sharing the story and being as strong as you can. Your writing is very exceptional. Perhaps you can take Black Cohosh tea to help with hot flashes. You are in my prayers. You sound like a fighter and I know you will beat this....just focus your mind on healing. Take it easy and don't do more than you should because it will only make you more tired. Continue to write as much as possible because it is very therapeutic for you.

Ms. Barbara, I commend you for your "guts" Not a very pretty word, but be a vet, a DAV one, Korea and Vietnam (Special Forces) I know "guts" when I see one.
Number 3, there are supplements for that one. Don't know if you can take them. Black Koosh (may be misspelled). There are several more. A health food store could help you on that one.
Your number 15, made me smile. There's supplements for that too.
Bless you always. You are in my prayers. I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. Most of all, I wish you a healthy New Year.

There is not a high enough number to rate your strength and courage Barb. I love you and have never meant you, but when one ask about strength and finght in this area, I will only speak of you. Keep fighting and my prayers are with you. Love you.

I find it hard to believe that you found the fortitude to continue working through this treatment phase. Rest is not only necessary to let your system recover, but also to protect your immunity. I know sometimes you just need a purpose to get out of bed each day, but going to work should not be one, for a while anyway. I wish you the best Christmas and send you prayers that all this will pass quickly for you and your family.

Gosh. I have to confess I tried to avoid reading this one, as it is a bit close to home for my family. Nevertheless I could not deny that Cancer exists and decided to give in, and I am glad that I did. Your writing shows a great strength of character which is truly admirable. I particularly like your free verse poem and I pray along with you as you continue on your journey to total healing. May God continue to strengthen you even as you (perhaps unwittingly) are strengthening us.

Barbara - you're an incredibly courageous person to do this post. I, like many others, are concerened about you. I think that I've told you before that you are on the prayer list at both of the churches I attend, so you've got me and about 400 other Episcopalians praying for you. By the way - I liked the poem! Very warm regards, Bill

Bob, I appreciate your friendship and support. I am honored to have 400 Episcopalians praying for me. I'm Methodist, but I don't think God cares as along as we believe.

This is a very informative piece about cancer. I learned a lot from what the writer said and I sympathize very much of what she had been undergoing. It is a very difficult kind of situation that she has been undergoing, phase one, phase 2, and further on. With all the fatigue and other kinds of discomforts and difficulties that she is undergoing, I could not help but pray that the Almighty help her finally and free her from all the pain and difficulties that she is undergoing. On the other hand, I am just wondering if some kind of other relief would be better like trying herbal drugs rather than chemo and radiation. For as I heard, radiation is good but it kills the other cells thus causing weakness. The weakening of the other cells, so they say, may spread further on. I hope, with God's help everything will be alright soon.

Informative read. You must be very brave to endure this, and still manage a positive attitudge. My hat goes off to you. And prayers will be given on your behalf.
