Beth, what a simply outstanding poem you have written with this one! The rhythm is absolutely wonderful, and the words are touching and sincere. I am guessing this is true, but if it is not, then that is all the more tribute to your skill. I specially enjoyed these lines:
My friend, we've known the sun, and life was sweet.
Together we'd go forth to greet the day..
It may not be the done thing to nit pick when one has given a 6, but I was looking for an apostrophe on "wind's" and "tale's". Irritating, aren't I?

Sally, Thank you so much for that beautiful six stars and the great comment. I am also so glad you pointed out the missing apostrophe's so I could fix them. I always seem to miss something.
