True love. If someone is prepared to give their last breath for their loved one...What can I say? Fifteen words yet so powerful. I shared third place in this competition. I see why I did not score higher. This is truly beautiful.

I echo what everyone else has said - a beautiful sentiment expressed in 15 words, and with terrific artwork to supplement it. Good luck in the contest if it has not yet closed.

Begin Again,
'Take me instead' may be an expression of the greatest love one being can have for another. End of life is so hard to think about at times.
Good luck.

Duane This poem reminded me of my parents, 89 yrs old, married 62 yrs, never apart. I think it will be horrendous when they finally part. Thanks for the review. Carol

Oh, how awesome! Till death do us part.. Our friend just lost her husband of 46 years, and she is saying all the time how hard it is. The partner becomes your second self, your twin, and separation is incredibly painful. Loved your picture and the image of that age spotted hand (I'm not there yet! - lol). Liked that in the last moment of his life he was thinking of her, and not himself. Impressive poem.

Your caring heart is in every word
and in these words, in the breath of this love,
I would reach out and hold firmly to faith.
The faith of your chosen name...We will
begin again, we will meet again. Love is eternal.

This is indeed a love poem and a wonderful, albeit sad, one at that. You have expressed so well long-lasting, undying love. excellent

Poesy Poet Thanks for the awesome comments. I wrote this while thinking about my parents. They are 89, married 62 years, never apart. I can't imagine one of them living without the other. Carol

Strong emotion conveyed so succinctly here, Carol. You create a vivid image that says all that need be said about this man's love for his spouse in this short smooth flowing and highly effective love poem.
Excellent.
