Hi gramalot, it actually called it a National Making it about You, Day. I know, weird, huh?

I thank you so very much. This one was tricky with the odd syllable count.
So it was fun to make it about you! LOL. Thanks for all the kind words.
    Love, Debi

I cast my vote that it be Marquette Piem, hey I'm biased what can I say!

I agree on that no calorie ice cream! It's like having fat free Half-n-Half, why bother.?

Go for the fat, the flavor the gusto!

Great poem sis! Excellent.

John

Hey bro, I guess if I am going to have ice cream, it better be creamy with all the flavor. I like to make my own so thank you so very much. This one was tricky with the odd syllable count. It sure was fun tho.
So it was fun to make it about you! Thanks for all the support for kind words.

My dearest Nomi, could you possibly be any sweeter. I love that you tell how your wife was so supportive of your friendships here. Thanks with all my heart for all the lovely and such wonderful words for our friendship. You have been there for me since almost day one when I arrived four years ago.
    (Doesn't it feel like longer?)

Oh it should definitely be a Marquette poem! You're in your element here, Debi, with these (near) monorhyme stanzas too. The verse is made for you:) Love the energy and fun of the theme and the way you encourage the reader to have their own National Day. Quite selfishly, an all-day spa treatment for me:)) Well done on this club entry! Let('s) do this once more. Love Debbie xos

What a cool poem. Your fill in the blank of things to be thankful for was clever. I am thankful that I get to read wonderful writers on here and have made so many long distance friends. Great poem, Debi. Gretchen

Your poem is cute and fun with some good messages also. The format for a Markette poem looks interesting enough that I will have to try it myself. thanks for sharing.

There are so many things in life that do not add up, and how many times one looks at them they still don't. But wouldn't it be cool if someone made a special national day for us, but somehow I don't think that will happen, but this is a great little poem, I've seen someone else's, there must be a billion forms out there. Beautifully written Debi, blessings Roy

What a concept! Make it my own day. How about I make it my day to give everyone a first-place ribbon for every write, good or bad, out there here on Fanstory! It would make everyone's day super. No need for a club to join or a special syllable count. I would love it for my day seeing all the smiles that it would bring. Super write Debi. Thank you for the fun thoughts.

Hi Sweetie, you are so sweet. I believe you would do that too. That would be fun for one day. To get the ribbon just from you. Of course that would only work for one day because if we got too many of those then it wouldn't be much fun to try hard to do our best. You know?
I thank you so very much. This one was tricky with the odd syllable count.

I love the upbeat message of your poem and the thought of having a day where everything goes my way. The thing that would make it perfect is that no calorie ice cream. Lol. I'm thankful for you on this site.
