Welp. CRYING. Every word of this beautiful piece had me-but that last line... well, that ripped right through me. I LOVE the way you begin with the "lovely perks" your father has given you and then build up to reveal how he has shaped who you are today. As a fan of YOU and a fellow daddy's girl, this poem was an absolute delight to read... and worth having to touch up my mascara!
Thank you for sharing, beautiful. A fav, for sure.

You're contest entry brought tears to my eyes. I was a daddy's girl and proud to admit it. I have plenty of my dad's qualities. I often laugh, I have mom's even temperament, but when I'm finally pushed to be angry then I have the complete blow up like my dad. Mom keeps grudges a little bit, but once dad blew up, it was over. I'm like that too. My dad is half Native American, and I have his dark coloring. Mom in blonde and blue eyed. Thank you for sharing this entry and good luck with the contest.

Oh, wow. They must have made quite the striking couple! And it's interesting how you inherited attributes from both, especially the "cross this line at your own risk" facet!!
Thanks for this beautiful review. xoxo

This is great! You were very fortunate to have a Dad who took the time to promote your future. Through your verses I could see how all those accomplishments built your confidence in your self and your ability to succeed.
I think that those of us who had great, inspiration Dads also left the ability inside us to emulate him and to also (I do) constantly compare ourselves to that giant figure.
Yay, Bill Saxman!

And yay to your dad, as well! It's nice to have a built-in idol toward which to aspire. Thank you for this really terrific review. xoxo

Your father sounds fabulous - a terrific father and man.
We were not all so fortunate. I explained here, and then deleted it. And we are both the better for it.
Excellent tribute. Who 'wouldn't' be proud?
