I saw that title and knew that I was about to be offered another of your fly on the Wall series. I do love them because you make your life so funny. You worked with Bob of Sesame Street? What else are you hiding? I watch Jane Pauley Sunday Morning and my favorite part of the show is the segment A Life Well Lived. I can see them doing you decades from now.
Tell us more about Phylis. She, like you, is fascinating.

I loved your endearing story and I reckon you could make a trip to the DIY store sound like a cruise around the Caribbean Rachelle.
The helpful woman was condescending and patronising Rachelle and sometimes these people never take no for an answer. Your dear friend sounds fascinating and I am glad you both enjoy a long lasting friendship and good conversation when you meet for lunch. Thank you, Dolly! And you're so right about the 'patronizing' part. OY!!! She was NOT, as my husband and I love to say, "reading the room." Another friend of mine puts it this way, and I think it's very valid: "Helpful" is the sunny side of "controlling." Isn't that true? Who among us doesn't know what the road to hell is paved with!!

Of the many places I have lived my favorite five years was in West Trenton where we were the only non-Jewish family on the street, unless you count the Kaplan's who Missus was Catholic, but the love of life on the block went on every night, especiall in the summer.
