Hi Steve, I am glad you like that last line. It seemed to match the criteria of ending it a little comical. And I appreciate your kind words for my romantic beach story. It was a fun write for Gypsy's club. I thank you again, my dear friend. Love, Debi

My pleasure, Debi.

The picture is lovely, and it fits your dodoitsu poem well. Your final line supports the reflection of the stars in the ocean. Your syllable counts are perfect for the constraints of the form. Blessings. Carol

Oh yes, I've been in the Aussie outback, sleeping outside, a long way from the nearest town, it's absolutely divine, you can see forever, God in His own backyard, beautifully written Debi, blessings Roy

Oh, how I want warmer weather to come so I can at least drive to the ocean for a day trip. It's my "peaceful place" always -- but you've captured the romantic moment skillfully in this beautiful Dodoitsu. I'd like to be transported to THAT twilight kissed beach immediately!

Yeah, K, while you are waiting for that beach, we are looking at 15 inches of snow on Saturday. I would also love going to that beach and have someone hold me in their arms.
Haha, that is what Gypsy's fantasy prompts do to me.
Remember when I wrote about the hearts in my driveway and I thought Glen did them. So, it turned out to be a car turning around in my driveway. Haha.
So LOL, instead, it will snow and snow and we will get snowed in together and our romance will be Super Bowl this weekend. Haha.
Thanks for the kind words for this romantic beach story!! Love, Debi
-
Who are you cheering on? We're getting snow today and the weekend.
Go Eagles!
;)

Philadelphia yay
-
I knew I could count on you to be rational.
(Chuckling here)
-
Shoot, I would cheer Philadelphia against anyone, except the Vikings. However, we never have to worry about that. Haha! We have what they call a post season curse here.

This is very beautiful. What a romantic place to be with someone you love, have you ever been to the ocean? I went to Florida some years ago and was overwhelmed by it's beauty. Thanks for sharing.

Short and sweet but very touching. I could feel myself lying about with someone I love, looking up at the stars and their arms wrapped around me.

Very romantic poem, Debi. I couldn't tell this was a dodoitsu because I never heard that before. Thanks for defining it.
I also liked how you defined the star reflection:
'at the beauty that sparkles in the ocean'
I really enjoyed this poem,
Thanks for sharing.

This was very romantic and dreamy. I loved how it became the alternate universe, so to speak. Swimming in the stars and gazing at the ocean. Beautifully written. Gretchen
